"It's so sexy how she can't remember last night". Well the queen may not remember but this is one song, which I certainly will remember for a while.
Gym Class Heroes have created something, which isn't defined by the genre they wrote themselves into. Fans of all genres from Rap to Rock can appreciate this song for the genius that it is.
This Great track can be found on their album "As Cruel as School Children" created from the bands own interests in numerous dissimilar bands. This diverse range of inspiration is what makes the song so appealing to a whole host of audiences.
The song powerfully explores the drinking habits of a woman ("the queen") and the effects it has on the people around her, who want her to "just put it down". Unfortunately she doesn't listen and goes through another bottle trying to fill her hollow life. GCH impressively create the picture of a woman whose attempts to try and drown herself in the bottom of a bottle just hurt the people trying to help her making them feel guilty for "letting her drink again."
Gym Class Heroes' lead singer, Travis McCoy, has a certain charisma in his voice, which draws you to him. Hearing him sing makes me want to see them in concert, lucky for me they are touring - and they will be in London on September 7 th!
All I have to say is "Bravo"! I have been listening to this track non-stop since I got it and haven't been able to turn it off.
I recommend all music fans if it a go!
