Guess what…MORE Lady Sovereign.
The idea of this was enough to get me a wee bit excited.
Now anyone who remembers listening to music on tapes or playing knock down ginger will be able to relate to this nostalgic track from Island’s top lady. If you were born in the 1980’s I’m sure at lot of the things Lady Sovereign discusses from her childhood will overlap with yours, after all “those were the days”. I can definitely remember racing down the hill in trolleys and playing mortal combat though I do have to admit I have never been chased by a pit bull (thank God).
Generally I am not a fan of English MC’s but there is something about artists like Lady Sovereign who really do it for me. This isn’t as good as other songs released by the 21 year old Londoner but it is still worth having a listen to.
So in short – GO BUY THIS TRACK – in fact may as well get the album…
