Fiddy's solution to that potential problem was to exercise his influence within the Universal Music Group and pressure the powers that be to move The Game's release date - both G-Unit and their former bandmate releasing their music via Universal divisions. Much safer than letting the record buying public decide, I suppose, though not necessarily any easier a battle to win. The Game's people were insisting earlier this week, after Fiddy told MTV he might stamp his feet at Universal, that they wouldn't tolerate a release date change just to placate the G-Unit. But the latest word via AllHipHop.com is that Universal have moved the release date for both releases, which sounds like the political thing to do. G-Unit's 'Terminate On Sight' has a provisional US release of 1 Jul, while The Game's 'LAX' will arrive in record shops on 8 Jul.
