Timbaland Named Songwriter Of The Year At R&B Awards

More awards from the US for you, and it was the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul awards in LA this week when American publishing royalty types ASCAP recognise the great and good of the urban songwriting communities.

And it was Timbaland who was getting especially recognised, being given the Songwriter Of The Year prize, while EMI Publishing got the top corporate prize, Publisher Of The Year. Genre awards went to Robin Thicke, Fabolous and The Clark Sisters, while the much sought after Ringtone Of The Year prize went to US rapper Mims for his song 'This Is Why I'm Hot'.
