The rapper was cited for marijuana possession on Wednesday night, but not
arrested.
Police reportedly caught Snoop with the drug outside a Manhattan, New York
nightclub.
The rap star's lawyer Donald Etra says: "We are contesting the ticket."
The controversy is the latest in a long line of legal run-ins for Snoop - his
most recent charge, for carrying a collapsible baton in his carry-on luggage at
a California airport in 2006, landed him with a community service sentence and
three years of probation.
