New Lupe Fiasco Album On The Way

Lupe Fiasco has a new album in the pipeline, set for release on 21 Jan next year.

Released through Atlantic Records, it's been executive produced by that Jay Z and is called 'Lupe Fiasco's The Cool'. Lead single 'Superstar' seems to be standard fodder (at least lyrically) for a sophomore rap record, documenting his rise to fame and the discomfort he feels about it: "A fresh, cool young Lu / Trying to cash his microphone check, 2, 1, 2 / Wanna believe my own hype, but it's too untrue / The world brought me to my knees, what have you brung you?" However, having made an excellent debut album in 'Lupe Fiasco's Food and Liquor' we won't hold that against him.
