Kanye West Sued Over Sample

Kanye West is being sued by a songwriter who claims the rapper stole one of his songs.

Dayna ‘D’ Mystro Staggs alleges that the Kanye's tune Good Life, uses a sample of his track Volume, and is now suing the Chicago rapper, his record label G.O.O.D and Jay-Z’s label Roc-A-Fella.

According to Associated Press, papers filed to Maryland District Court claim West did not obtain Staggs' permission to use the sample.

Staggs is claiming royalties for 85% of all proceeds from the sale of Good Life.
