Dizzee Rascal is hoping to collaborate with The Ting Tings.

Mr Rascal has also been discussing his excitement at being No 1 in the mid-week singles charts with Calvin Harris collaboration, Dance Wiv Me.

He told the BBC: "It feels good because it's the first release on my own label and it's looking like going to the top which means a lot."

He added: "I hear Basshunter is on my tail but it doesn't matter. I've not heard his tune anyway."

The East London grime man recently covered The Ting Tings No 1 hit That's Not My Name for a radio session.

He said: "I'd love to collaborate with The Ting Tings on a song. I met them at Glastonbury and I told them I was going to do this cover and I said, "We should work together as well and Franz Ferdinand.'"

See if Dizzee, who also wants to record another tune with Arctic Monkeys, can hold onto the mid-week top slot by checking on Orange World from 7pm on Sunday (July 6).
