Beyonce Opens Up About Secret Wedding

Beyonce has finally spoken publicly about her marriage to Jay-Z six months after it took place.

In an interview in November's issue of Essence magazine the 27-year-old singer says "What Jay and I have is real. It's not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real."

The singer told the magazine she did not want an engagement ring because, "People put too much emphasis on that. It's just material and it's just silly to me."

Beyonce says she chose to have a small wedding as she is not a traditional woman and did not want the drama.

The singer's is due to release her latest album 'I Am.' on November 18 and yesterday premiered two singles from the album.
