50 Cent Wants To Follow In Eminem And Dre's Footsteps
50 Cent has vowed to sit back and relax after the release of his forthcoming album - he will only return to the music scene when he is "missed" by the public.
50 will release his fourth album, Before I Self Destruct, this December (08), and it will be his penultimate disc for his label Interscope Records.
Plans are currently afoot for a greatest hits collection, which will complete his five-album deal with the firm, leaving him a free agent.
The NY rapper has revealed he will be taking it easy once he has fulfilled the terms of his contract, emulating his mentors Eminem and Dr. Dre and only releasing "masterpiece" LPs.
He says, "The luxury that Eminem and Dr. Dre have now, I'll soon have. I'll only be putting out music when I have a masterpiece ready.
"But those guys are ready to put out their masterpieces very soon. Eminem's album is going to blow people away... Like him, I'll only be coming back when people miss me."
