N-Dubz have been offered the chance to crack the US, and are planning to move to Los Angeles.

The ‘Better Not Waste My Time’ group met with bosses at Def Jam records in Los Angeles last week and have been offered the chance to move to California for a year to concentrate on breaking the US market.

Although the band’s management are still working on the contract with record company bosses, the band – which consists of members Dappy, Tulisa Contostavlos and Fazer - have started house hunting in the city.

A source told the Sun newspaper: “It's what they have always wanted, they can't believe it's finally happening.

"The meeting with Def Jam went really well and they told label boss LA Reid they were prepared to give up their lives in London and move to the US to make it work."

The band have previously shown their enthusiasm for a move to the US.

Tulisa said: “They say, 'Oh the Americans won't get it', but how do they know if they haven't heard it yet? It's about labels taking the risk and we think they'll love us over there."

Dappy – who is Tulisa’s cousin – reckons a collaboration with a US artist may establish them in the country.

He said: "All I know is we can go there with an acoustic guitar and we'll make someone want to sign us. It's as simple as that. Maybe we'll sort out a collaboration or something."
