Jason Derulo's single In My Head is neck-and-neck with Dizze Rascal's Dirtee Cash in the race for No1 later this evening.

Jason has penned songs for the likes of Lil Wayne, P Diddy and Sean Kingston while still a teen. The Florida raised singer has said he is ready to come out the shadows and do it all himself.

He told The Sun: "I grew up as a huge Michael Jackson fan, studying his videos, copying his moves. I'd practise singing Usher and Justin Timberlake songs and doing their moves."

Since Chris Brown's career imploded following his assault on Rihanna, the charts haven't seen much action from male R&B artists.

Expect to hear a lot more from Jason.
