Tinchy Stryder and Dionne Bromfield will record the official song for the 2012 Olympic Games.

The pair have rewritten Speech Debelle's 'Spinnin' as 'Spinnin' for 2012' to reference the upcoming London games and 'Take Me Back' hitmaker Tinchy admitted he is hoping for some free tickets as payment.

He told The Sun newspaper: "I didn't get any tickets in the end, like loads of other people. I tried but had no luck. I'm hoping that this song will get us a few though.

"I must be in with a chance. I'm desperate to see some of the events. It will be massive. I'd love to watch the men's 100 metre final."

Tinchy is not the only performer who is desperate for Olympics tickets.

Former Spice Girls star Mel C has admitted she would jump at the chance to reunite with her bandmates Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Haliwell for the games as it would also get her inside.

She said: "We've never actually been approached about the Olympics and it's just rumours at the moment unfortunately but I'd jump at it if we were asked. I'm very excited about the Olympics being here in London. And it'd get me in wouldn't it because I've got no tickets."
