T.I. planning new single before before release
T.I. Imprisoned rapper T.I. has announced that he will “be releasing a record” within the next few weeks – just in time for the summer.
The 30-year-old – whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr – is approaching the end of an eight-month jail term for possessing ecstasy while on probation for weapons charges.
However, T.I. took to his TrapMuzic.com website to reveal that he will be releasing a new single “in the near future (couple of weeks tops) to hold y’all over til I get back in action”.
T.I. also revealed that his prison time has been productive, with the Atlanta star saying that he is preparing to put into practice some business plans and systems he has acquired while incarcerated.
The Live Your Life hitmaker wrote in his blog that, “during this time of seclusion”, he has “developed a mind full of thoughts, ideas, plans and strategies of change to incorporate into my professional endeavours, as well as my personal lifestyle”.
However, the sometime actor pointed out that “none of them is as strong as my determination to conquer my own imperfections and my will to WIN NO MATTER WHAT!!!”
The movie and music producer also wanted to thank some of his closest associates, including B.o.B., Terrence J. – who hosts Black Entertainment Television’s music video countdown show 106 & Park – Killa Mike and Lil Wayne, as well as rival Rick Ross, for their support during his confinement.
Reports suggest T.I. will be released on September 29.
