Rihanna Is Still Single
Rihanna However, the singer has dismissed claims she is romancing the LA Dodgers outfielder, claiming she is happy on her own.
“I'm still single, if that's what you really want to ask,” she said, when quizzed about whether she would be accompanied to Sunday’s Grammy Awards. “I'm going to the Grammys alone, as always! Even when I was in a relationship, I always have gone alone.”
Rihanna is rumoured to have flown Matt to Abu Dhabi for her New Year’s Eve performance at the Emirates Palace. The pair were then spotted getting hot and heavy in Mexico, with Rihanna describing the holiday as “a blast”.
The star can’t wait to attend the prestigious awards ceremony at the weekend, as she is up for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for her track Run This Town with Jay-Z and Kanye West. She is hopeful they will win, but even if they don’t she is excited to have been nominated. “This was actually the first piece of music we did since the last Grammys. It's exciting that it's nominated. We cannot wait. We hope we bring home the bacon, but if not, it's great that it was nominated,” she told 104.3 MY FM's Valentine in the Morning show.
Rihanna was due to perform at last year’s awards, but she had to cancel at the last minute after she was assaulted by her now ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in his car. He punched, bit and choked her, and was eventually sentenced to five years probation, six months community labour and one year of domestic violence classes for the attack. He was also banned from approaching her for five years.
