The Game has pleaded not guilty to threatening somebody with a gun in a basketball game.

The Game – real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor – denied making criminal threats, possessing a firearm and exhibiting a weapon at a place for minors in a Los Angeles court yesterday (September 26th).

The gun charges relate to an incident at Rita Walters Educational Complex in February.

The prosecution in the case claim that the rapper punched an opposing in the face before heading to his car to fetch a gun, reports the BBC.

Rodrick Shannon testified at an earlier hearing this month that he “feared for his life” when the rapper allegedly approached him with a firearm.

If convicted The Game could face up to five years in jail.
