The hip-hop mogul is planning to take to the stage as a special guest when the Irish rockers take their 360 Tour to Australia and New Zealand later this year. The concert run kicks off in Auckland on November 25, and travels to Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney before ending in Perth on December 18.

Live Nation Australia has yet to confirm Jay-Z’s involvement in the tour, but Billboard reports an announcement will be made shortly before tickets go on sale on September 3.

U2 was forced to postpone a series of shows after frontman Bono had emergency back surgery after injuring himself during rehearsals in Germany earlier this year. Bono is now back to full strength and looking forward to completing the tour, which is now expected to conclude in August 2011.

Jay-Z is currently co-headlining a series of US shows with rapper Eminem.
