Rihanna is planning to record a song with DJ David Guetta.

The 'Hard' singer has approached the French dance producer - who has been behind several hits including Flo Rida's 'Club Can't Handle Me' and Black Eyed Peas 'I Gotta Feelin' - to work on a track for her next album.

Speaking at this year's Virgin Media V Festival in Staffordshire, UK - where he headlined the 4 Music stage - David said: "I am talking to Rihanna about doing a song, but nothing is confirmed."

He added he plans to develop a new sound for his next album to be released under his own name, adding: "Right now I'm planning to come back with a new sound for my next album, which will come out in Summer next year."

Although he initially made his name as a DJ, David talked about how his influences extend far beyond dance music, and how disappointed he was his set clashed with the Kings Of Leon playing on the main stage.

He added to the Daily Star newspaper: "I might make dance music, but that doesn't mean I'm not influenced by bands like Kings of Leon and Coldplay.

"I'm such a fan of the Kings and would've loved to have seen their performance."
