Kanye West makes song release vow
Kanye West The 33-year-old hip-hop star has not released an album since his 2008 record 808s and Heartbreak. He recently announced his fifth studio album Dark Twisted Fantasy would hit shelves on November 16, and has already released two songs from it, including a duet with Beyoncé Knowles called See Me Now.
Kanye has now vowed to release new music every Friday until December 25, saying he is unable to sleep knowing people don’t have his music to comfort them.
“Swizz [Beatz] looked at me the other night and said man are you getting sleep and I told him I can't sleep... My people need this new music (sic),” Kanye wrote on his Twitter page. “I know yall need the music so I'm dropping 1 new song every weekend until Xmas. It may be my song it may be a new Jay song etc...
“I'm calling it good Fridays. Yall know every Friday yall gone have a new joint from our family. We look at the game completely different now
“It's about the fans. No more holding back. That's why I dropped see me now... It wasn't about me it was about the Summer the BBQs etc... (sic).”
Kanye has recorded collaborations with Dwele, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Charlie Wilson, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Kid Cudi and T.I. for Dark Twisted Fantasy.
