Jay-Z: Hip-hop’s highest earner

Jay-Z Jay-Z has been crowned the "Hip-Hop Cash King" by Forbes magazine.
The 40-year-old Empire State Of Mind star has topped the influential business magazine's annual ranking of top-earning hip-hop stars by raking in $63m over the past year from his tour, housing investments and the Broadway production Fela!
Sean "Diddy" Combs came in second place, earning $30m, thanks to endorsement his various deals and film roles, while Akon made third place, earning $21m from his endorsement deals and his signing of Lady Gaga to his label KonLive.
Lil Wayne, Dr Dre, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Timbaland, Pharrell and Kanye West make up the rest of the top 10.
Jay-Z has topped the Forbes list every year since 2007, apart from 2008, when 50 Cent took the No.1 spot.
