Kanye West Kanye West joined Twitter to communicate with his fans after getting fed-up with reporters misinterpreting his jokes.
The hip-hop star signed up for the social networking site last month and already has nearly 600,000 followers and sent out around 300 tweets.
The 33 year-old told New York hip-hop station Hot 97: "I got to the point where I didn't even want to do interviews anymore because I would have the interview and we'd be laughing, me and the reporter, and that is funny. Then you read it and they completely just demolished all of my jokes. They just set 'em up wrong."
The star added: "I couldn't communicate and now I can communicate just in a soundbite and give people a glimpse of everything - it is good."
