Dizzee Rascal has been speaking about his new venture, Sky 1s talent show Must Be The Music.

The East London rapper/song writer has said the shows no X Factor though, he says it will give artists independence.

Along with Jazz musician Jamie Cullen and Sharleen Spiteri of Texas Dizzee will be judging the talent, anything from opera to steel bands or buskers.

Talking to Radio Times he said The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent are "just another massive marketing tool,” the singer said he had no wish to discredit the shows but commented that as an independent artist himself he appreciated the new shows approach saying "It's a really good thing. We don't try to grab on to them and manufacture them."

The grand prize will see finalists having iTunes play their songs in addition to £100.000 and a Wembley performance.

The show is due to start on August 15th.
