Ne-Yo has knocked British band The Wanted off the top of the UK singles chart with his new single Beautiful Monster.

The 30-year-old musician entered the chart at number one as the boy band fell down to number five with their single All Time Low.

Rapper Flo Rida and his hit Club Can't Handle Me, which features David Guetta, was at number two with Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP and We No Speak Americano at number three.

Eminem and Rihanna's new collaborative record, Love The Way You Lie, stayed at number four.

Canadian indie band Arcade Fire topped the British albums chart with their new offering The Suburbs.
