Tinie Tempah: Album Is Better Than Singles
Tinie Tempah The British rapper – whose first single ‘Pass Out’ shot straight to the top of the UK charts – thinks the three tracks he has released to date give an “alright indication” of the material on debut album ‘The Disc-Overy’, but fans need to listen to the whole record to get a better idea of him as an artist.
He explained: “When I listened to the album I thought there were so many different sounds and influences and different genres of music, so I would say ‘Pass Out’, ‘Frisky’ and now ‘Written In The Stars’ are an alright indication.
“On a scale of one to 10 of representation I would say it’s like a six and there are four more points you need to discover to get a full feel of the album.”
The 21-year-old star says this LP – which is due for release in September – is “all about him”, but a collaboration with Professor Green is “definitely” on the cards for his next record.
He added to MTV News: “I would definitely like to work with Professor Green. A collaboration is definitely in the pipeline but for me on my album it was more about expressing myself and giving people an in depth idea of what I am like as a person and an artist.
“I have just concentrated on making it all about me respectively, but on the second album we are definitely going to go into the studio and do something epic. I have a lot of love for Professor Green.”
