Tinchy Stryder Not Interested In Cracking The US
Tinchy Stryder The British rap star – who has scored two UK number one singles – is more interested in working on making his joint management company with fellow hip-hop star Jay-Z a success in America.
He explained: “Launching myself in the States isn’t on my priorities list right now. At the moment, I go over there on Takeover Roc Nation business rather than to promote myself as an artist.
“Of course I want to crack the States, but timing is everything. I don’t want to rush – the UK still needs to be conquered, after all. At the moment just giving my British fans my new music is what it’s all about.”
Tinchy collaborated with British hip-hop group N-Dubz for chart-topping single ‘Number 1’ and he has been in talks with the band’s frontman Dappy about the possibility of getting together for another track in the future.
He added to the Daily Star newspaper: “Last time I saw Dappy we agreed to get together in the studio again soon. It’s been a while since our hit ‘Number 1’. When I heard about their American record deal I got in touch.
“I’d definitely like to go on the road with them. We get on cool – it would be a double attack.”
