Dr Dre Working On New Album
Dr Dre Dre has been studying the planets and this has inspired him to try his hand at another venture, an instrumental album.
Speaking to Vibe magazine he said "I want to call it The Planets," and further added "it's just my interpretation of what each planet sounds like. I'm gonna go off on that. Just all instrumental. I've been studying the planets and learning the personalities of each planet.
The one time co-owner of Death Row Records - who has been instrumental in giving a leg-up to some now well known rap artists, Eminem and Snoop Dogg among them – revealed he’d been interested in the planets for the last couple of years and said the album would need to be in surround sound in order for “Saturn to work.”
The album is a secondary venture though, his primary project at present being his Detox album, which it’s hoped will be out by the Autumn.
