Do you remember when The US X Factor was going to have two hosts? Well it looks like the second season will.

The original plan for the show was to have Steven Jones and Nicole Scherzinger to share the hosting of the show before Simon Cowell decided he would rather have Nicole to replace Cheryl Cole on the panel. Hmm, considering both Nicole and Jones are now on their merry way, perhaps it wasn’t the best move.

Now it has been revealed that the original plan will now go ahead in the second season of the show, with FreemantleMedia’s Cecile Frot-Coutaz saying, "Simon's vision was always to have a man and woman host this and to make it feel a little bit like an award ceremony. A glamorous girl and a good-looking guy doing a kind of double act. There was no way around it. In terms of making the show feel different, everyone felt we needed to put it in a different situation."

As long as it doesn’t end up like Mick Fleetwood and Sam Fox at the Brit Awards then it could work. The only thing to remember is that Ryan Seacrest had a co-host on the first season of American Idol. I know, I can’t remember it either.
