Jennifer Ellison slices leg in Dancing on Ice rehearsals
Jennifer Ellison It seems that Jennifer Ellison is in the Dancing on Ice wars again after slicing her leg during show rehearsals.
The former Brookside star cut her head last weekend when a scorpion kick saw her kick the top of her head with her blade, and after this latest injury Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have been forced to ban celebrities from carrying out any “risky” moves during this week’s show.
A show insider told The Mirror that Ellison had been forced to stop her training immediately following the accident, which happened last night, and that the star had to have stitches for the cut.
Other stars have now being forced to tone down their routines, with Jorgie Porter pulling out of performing a headbanger, Heidi Range simplifying a side lift and Matthew Wolfenden being forced to rework his wrist-ripping routine, although that is partially down to a groin strain.
I know the DOI ratings took a bit of a bashing recently, but potential dismemberment of the stars seems a little bit extreme to try and gain back viewers. Then again, the possibility of a little blood on the ice will always draw the crowds.
