Ricky Gervais will not go back to host the Golden Globes again
Ricky Gervais Despite a lukewarm reception from the critics, Ricky Gervais has said that his third time hosting the Golden Globes was his favourite and probably his last.
The comedian’s jokes were said to be less harsh than his appearance last year, but considering he was heavily criticised for being too harsh last year what is the man to do?
Talking after the show, Gervais said, "It was by far my favourite of the three hosting stints. I've told my agent to never let me be persuaded to do it again though. It's like a parachute jump. You can only really enjoy it in retrospect when you realise you didn't die and it was quite an amazing thing to do.”
Gervais added that he felt the audience finally realised that although his jibes may have seemed rude, they weren’t actually that bad when they worked them out.
