Spice Girls wanted for Absolutely Fabulous movie
Emma Bunton Absolutely Fabulous may be making a big screen appearance after a successful comeback with two shows over the Christmas period.
Writer and actress Joanna Lumley wants the Spice Girls to feature in the movie after Emma Bunton made an appearance in the New Year's Day episode.
Lumley told the Sunday Mirror: "Jennifer is a great magnet. She phones people up and they all just say, 'Any time'. It was lovely to have Emma in the Christmas special and it would be great to have all of the Spice Girls in the movie.
"It definitely won't be this year but it might be next. The reaction to the Ab Fab specials was extraordinary. It's very lovely to know there is still such a demand for it."
The series originally ran from 1992 to 1996 before making a comeback in 2001. It has also been reported that the BBC are interested in a new series of the comedy after the success of the festive specials.
Meanwhile Lumley is preparing to go on her travels again for a new TV documentary. "I love it so much, it gives me a great chance to see how people in the world live who aren’t just rich."
