Tom Jones and Danny O’Donoghue join The Voice UK
Tom Jones Sir Tom Jones and The Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue will join Jessie J and will.i.am on the coaching panel of The Voice UK.
The panel for the show is now complete after months of speculation.
Tom Jones has sold over 100 million records since the 1960’s and is still making music. His 2010 album Praise and Blame reached number two in the UK album charts.
The Welsh singer, 71, said: "This is a strong show; it’s all about talent - but it’s also exciting, competitive and compelling television. I’ve been blessed over the years to share the stage with some of the world’s finest artists, and I look forward to being part of the team that discovers a great, new, genuine talent."
Danny O’Donoghue has experienced great success with The Script, selling over 3.5 million albums worldwide and five million singles in the US. Their 2011 tour was a sell-out and in recent years have supported Take That, Paul McCartney and U2.
O’Donoghue said: "This is a show unlike any other because it puts vocal ability first above all else. I look forward to putting my team together and battling it out with the other coaches to see who wins this unique, credible competition. I'm in it to win it!"
The Voice UK is due to begin in Spring next year.
