Ricky Gervais compares Life's Too Short to Extras
Ricky Gervais Ricky Gervais reckons his new comedy series starring Warwick Davis is similar to his previous shows.
Life's Too Short stars 3ft tall Warwick Davies playing a twisted version of himself as he runs a dwarf agency.
Gervais told the BBC: "His career is on the slide, he's going through a messy divorce with a massive tax bill.
"He's nasty and manipulative. He runs an agency for dwarfs but nicks all the best jobs for himself."
Gervais said the show was a combination of elements of his previous hit comedies and best described as a 'fake documentary'.
He said: "The Office was one of those reflected quaint docusodes where normal people are thrust into the limelight for a while.
"This is more of a modern documentary where C-list celebrities live their lives like an open wound and will do anything to get back on telly."
The series includes appearances by Steve Carell, Helena Bonham Carter, Liam Neeson, Cat Deeley and Johnny Depp.
Gervais also said there will be appearances from some familiar faces from The Office and Extras.
