The Torchwood star has revealed he would love to return for the milestone anniversary of the show.

With Doctor Who spinoff Torchwood about to come to dramatic conclusion, John Barrowman has said he hopes to return to the mother show for the Doctor’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 2013.

Barrowman was happy to admit that he would jump at the chance to team up with latest Doctor Matt Smith, but in the end he knows that the decision isn’t his to be made.

“I don’t think it’s a question of whether I would like to come back as Captain Jack. I’d be very happy to do that any time. I know the fans would really like that. In the end it’s a decision left up to the BBC and the drama department,” the actor told Bang Showbiz. “It’s like I’ve said to the fans, you need to write to them if you want it  to happen because I’ve never been asked. I know Russell T Davies and Steven Moffat  think it would be a nice idea, but who knows?”

Well, as Torchwood: Miracle Day ends in a week, I’m sure fans would love to know when they can see Captain Jack again.
