Television network TLC has decided not to renew the program for another season. The network has announced that the currently airing fourth season will mark the conclusion of the show entirely.

"TLC has decided that the current season of LA Ink will be its last. The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D's journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles,” TLC said in a statement to RadarOnline.

Kat has suffered a series of personal tragedies this year. Her house burned down, killing her cat. She also had a very public relationship breakdown when her engagement to Jesse James ended.

Kat has expressed subtle resentments about the show. Kat provided an obscure response Wednesday to a Twitter message by a fan saying LA Ink was annoying because it focused too much on the tattoo artist’s personal life.

“perhaps a better way to say it is ‘the show is more annoying’.... Trust me, wish it could be about art only (sic),” Kat tweeted.

LA Ink’s season finale and final show will air on TLC on September 15.
