Kelly Rowland will call upon Usher to help her discover new musical talent next month.

The former Destiny’s Child singer has joined the judging panel of UK TV show X Factor and will mentor a series of acts for the new season. Kelly must decide who to take through to the live stages and has decided Usher is the perfect man to help spot a star.

She will fly to Miami with the hopefuls in a few weeks so the R&B star can meet them.

"Kelly has a lot of friends in high places but has asked Usher to be her wingman. He loves the show as he's been on it a few times and gets on well with Simon Cowell,” a source told British newspaper The Sun. "Plus, he knows a thing or two about finding new talent as he was the man who discovered Justin Bieber.

"It's fair to say Bieber has done pretty well for himself since."

If Usher isn’t available, Kelly is expected to call upon P. Diddy, Nelly, Jay-Z or David Guetta for assistance.

Sharon Osbourne is set to help out her close friend Louis Walsh, who is also on the judging panel, when he travels to the South of France.

Fellow judge Gary Barlow is planning to take his acts to perform for his Take That bandmate Robbie Williams at his Los Angeles mansion.

Judges can only take four of their eight acts through to the live finals.
