UK X Factor will be 'much bigger and better than the US version'
Louis Walsh And that’s according to the shows one remaining judge from its original line-up, Louis Walsh.
The Irishman reckons he and his new fellow judges really don’t need Simon Cowell anyway and says the music bigwig was ‘a fool’ for vacating his place on the UK panel, reports the Daily Mirror.
So it would appear that the competition between the pair hasn't diminished with Simon’s departure from the British version of the hit talent show, indeed it looks set to intensify as Louis announced to the tabloid “We don’t need Simon. We've moved on.”
So with the return to our screens this month and its debut in America next month, it looks like Louis and Simon are set to do a transatlantic battle of the X Factors.
But Si hasn’t forgotten about his baby, reports suggest he’s about to sex-up the UK show, he’s supposedly planning to supply booze to contestants old enough to partake and wants cameras in the bedrooms of contestants, in the hope of capturing any budding romances and scandals that would until now, have remained behind the scenes reports The Sun.
Pool parties are also reported to be on the cards.
A source told the red top "Producers want scandal, sex and break-ups. They know it will freshen up the series and boost ratings. The house is going to be one long party for the singers. And it will all be filmed to titillate viewers."
While another insider said some contestants had been selected based on their "romantic availability" and the way they look in an effort to spice up the show.
Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Take That’s Gary Barlow have joined Louis for the 8th UK series which gets going this month.
