Desperate Housewives ending after new season
Eva Longoria It’s been running for the last seven years, but it seems the wives of Wisteria Lane may be about to close the doors on their affairs for the final time at the end of the next season.
A source close to the honchos of ABC have revealed that the network plans the next season of the glossy soap drama to be the last following declining viewing figures.
The housewives first hit screens in 2004 with the sizzling Eva Longoria and her pals becoming an instant hit and massive ratings winner for the network, but audience figures have steadily been in decline over the last few years which has led to the expected closing of the show.
Creator Marc Cherry is not returning for the new season, which seems to add weight to claims, although ABC themselves have refused to comment.
