Cynthia Nixon was appalled when a group of young teenage girls quizzed her about her sex life on public transport.

The actress is famed for playing Miranda Hobbes in Sex and the City, and is used to being approached by over-zealous fans wherever she goes. Although she doesn’t mind people asking for plot hints or autographs, there are some things she does draw the line at.

“Some tween type girls on the subway one time asked if I really have sex on the show,” she laughed. “With Sarah Jessica Parker, people ask her intimate things and tell her intimate things, but maybe people find Miranda scary. They don’t do that with me.”

Cynthia loves it when famous people admit to watching the hit American show. She was recently astounded to find renowned actor Kenneth Branagh is a big fan.

“Kenneth Branagh loved our show and that did surprise me,” she explained to Look magazine. “He seemed very versed in it. He was familiar with all the characters and the episodes.”
