Charlotte Church's Fiancé Warns Of Weight 'Obsession'
Charlotte Church Charlotte Church's fiancé wants her to stop smoking before they get married.
Rugby star Gavin Henson has admitted he isn't happy with Charlotte's nicotine habit. The singer has dropped to a UK size eight after embarking on a strict diet and now smokes 30 cigarettes a day. Although the pair are blissfully happy together, Gavin is concerned about Charlotte's health and has asked her to address her "obsession" with her weight before they tie the knot.
"Gav's told her she has got to stop smoking - he says there's no way he wants a bride smoking on their wedding day," a source told Closer magazine. "He's told her she's obsessed with dieting, which has caused a few rows. They have always argued - just because they're engaged that won't change! Gav hates the smoking and the dieting - but aside from that they're getting on well and can't wait to be husband and wife."
Gavin recently revealed he wasn't keen on Charlotte's slimmer frame, confessing he preferred it when she was curvier. Charlotte had ballooned to a size 14 following the birth of her two children - two-year-old Ruby and Dexter, one - but has since dropped three sizes. "Personally I prefer her with more weight on. I'm not really into skinny girls and she's a little bit too skinny for me at the moment," Gavin said.
It is believed the couple are hoping to marry as soon as possible, with Ruby as a bridesmaid and Dexter a pageboy. Charlotte has reportedly asked her mother Maria to give her away.
