Dita Von Teese thinks she will be the world’s best charades player when she returns to the US because she does so much gesturing to make up for her terrible French.

The burlesque star has been living in Paris for the past few months to be closer to her aristocratic lover Louis Marie de Castelbajac. She has been furiously studying the French language, but still finds she does more pointing and nodding than speaking.

“I'm going to be SO good at playing charades after all this gesturing I do in Paris to supplement my broken French!” she wrote on her Twitter page.

On Wednesday night, Dita used oysters and expensive champagne to make her language class homework more pleasurable. Though she enjoyed the food and getting tipsy, she still couldn’t communicate any better than usual.

“At a brasserie, eating oysters, sipping champagne and doing my french homework! Life is sweet. P.S. Champagne and oysters don't really make passe compose et l'imparfait negatif any more pleasant to understand (sic),” she wrote.
