Sandra Bullock's Husband Apologises
On Wednesday, tattoo model Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee told a US magazine she had an 11-month affair with Jesse James, including five weeks of sex. She claims the relationship took place while Sandra was away from home shooting The Blind Side, the movie she recently won the best actress Oscar for.
It has been reported Sandra has moved out of the California home she shared with Jesse, and she also pulled out of the UK premiere of The Blind Side – which was due to take place next Tuesday – citing personal problems. She has not addressed the allegations against Jesse, but he has now apologised to her in public, although he does not admit the affair.
“The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded. Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment,” he told People magazine. “There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It's because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way.
“This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.”
Michelle claims she initially got in touch with Jesse as she hoped to model for his West Coast Choppers motorcycle company. She contacted him via the internet, and he replied asking her to email his personal account. She then alleges the relationship became physical, and insists Jesse led her to believe his marriage was over.
The model showed In Touch Weekly magazine a series of text messages she had received from Jesse to prove her allegations. Among them was one sent on March 14, after Sandra had won her Oscar and thanked her husband in her acceptance speech.
“Just think'n bout u this morning (sic),” it reads.
The pair also swapped missives via social networking website Twitter. “Sometimes to love yourself...you need to just walk away,” Michelle wrote in February.
Jesse has been a prolific user of the site, but deleted his account on Wednesday when the allegations surfaced. Michelle’s is still available, and includes comments she and Jesse have swapped.
It has been claimed Michelle did not keep the alleged relationship a secret from her friends, even telling her former boss about it. “She told me that she and Jesse were together... this was around May, 2009, or just prior to that,” Danielle Dee Madrano, who owns adult site SocalGlamourGirls.com, told RadarOnline. “She told me that Jesse’s marriage to Sandra Bullock was for publicity, and that's why he did Donald Trump’s show, Celebrity Apprentice. He never called on Sandra for money or influence because their marriage was a sham she said.”
Sandra was apparently told about the claims on Monday, which is when she decided to leave the family home. She is said to be devastated by the reports, and has turned to family and friends for support. “Sandra had no idea that all of this was going on. Not a clue," a friend of the actress told PopEater.com. "Now she is with family hoping for privacy.”
