Demi Moore Was A "Chick Magnet"

Demi Moore was a “chick magnet” when she shaved her head for G.I Jane.

The actress beefed up for her role as Lieutenant Jordan O’Neil in the 1997 action movie, which also saw her crop her flowing brunette locks. Demi admits getting in shape for the role was tough, and let her physically exhausted for a long time after filming ended.

“I’d love to say that I exercise a lot now but I don’t because I burned myself out on GI Jane so I’ve taken up yoga,” Demi explained, when asked the secret to her toned body. “And then I stopped and decided to go just from the inside out, working on myself. I actually got closer to the body I always wanted when I was on the film, but I also didn’t want to be with a shaved head and 140lbs – it wasn’t a good look. I was a chick-magnet though!”

Demi is famed for her stunning physique, with the actress hitting headlines when she appeared in 2003 film Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. She hadn’t been on the big screen for some time before the movie was released, and her slim figure was praised.

The 47-year-old admits finding the interest in her looks disconcerting, as she didn’t understand why people were so shocked to see her in shape. “No I actually didn’t have a lot of time before the film so I didn’t do loads. The funny thing is I look at that and everyone is so shocked if you go away and you’re not working – think you’re going to fall apart. Actually I was living a very stress free life, which is why I looked better,” she told US interviewer Chelsea Handler.
