Miley Cyrus Will Focus On Acting
Miley Cyrus The singer-and-actress is currently promoting her new movie The Last Song, which she loved shooting. The process showed her how much she enjoys becoming another character, and has convinced her it is time to put her music career on hold.
“I’ve gone these last five years... with everyone telling me what to do. Now it’s up to me, and what I think is right in my career, so I’m just going in my own direction,” she said. “This film was the test for me to decide what I really wanted to do, and I love making movies. That’s what I want to pursue.”
The 17-year-old feels comfortable when she is singing, which is another reason she wants to focus on acting. She likes testing herself, and wants to work hard on improving her skills.
Miley is adamant she has to be totally happy with any future roles, admitting she has to work hard to balance what she wants to do and what her fans expect of her. “I have to be careful, in a sense, to not lose who I am or the Miley Cyrus factor, by going to do other characters... I want to continue to do what I love, but also give myself new challenges and not just be the same person, over and over,” she explained.
