Peter Andre carries anti-anxiety medication with him at all times in case he has another emotional breakdown.
The Australian singer suffered crippling panic attacks that culminated in a complete breakdown ten years ago. Since divorcing glamour model Katie Price last year he is terrified his anxiety will take over again, and so takes the pills with him everywhere he goes as a “safety net”.
“It’s like someone who has asthma, they carry their ventilator with them but that doesn’t mean they use it every day,” he explained. “I always carry them with me but I hardly ever use them. They’re anti-anxiety. I have them as a safety net, as and when I need them.”
Peter raised three children with Katie, Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii. He admits he was taking stress medication every single day before he met Katie on reality show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in 2004.
“I went through three different therapists and five different medications before I met the women who was going to help me without medication,” he told the British edition of OK! magazine.
