Breaking: Actor Corey Haim Has Died
Corey Haim The Canadian-born star reportedly passed away at around 3.30am this morning, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has confirmed to American TV station KTLA. He was 38 years old. It has been alleged Haim died from an accidental drug overdose.
It has been reported he was found unresponsive at an apartment in Oakwood, near Burbank, California. His mother is believed to have been with him at the time.
Haim was taken to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank, where he was pronounced dead, according to sources from the LAPD. Police were reportedly called to the hospital to investigate his death at around 4am.
Haim previously battled an addiction to drugs, but by 2004 appeared to have overcome it after he returned to Toronto.
The star became a teen idol and a household name in the 80s after appearing in a series of hit movies, most famously The Lost Boys alongside Corey Feldman.
