Gisele Bundchen Says Giving Birth Was The "Biggest Miracle"
Gisele Bundchen says giving birth to her son was the “biggest miracle” of her life.
The Brazilian supermodel had her first child Benjamin, with husband Tom Brady three months ago. The 29-year-old beauty, who gave birth in a bath in her home, was surprised by how “intense” labour was, and even more stunned by the powerful feelings she felt when she held her baby for the first time.
"Giving birth was the most intense and life-changing experience," Gisele wrote on her official website. "I am blessed to have been able to have a home birth surrounded by love, where I was able to feel safe. It was a powerful experience. I never felt so vulnerable but so strong at the same time.
"I was so present to witness the biggest miracle in my life happen before my very own eyes. To give life to another being – what a gift!"
Gisele also posted a series of images of Benjamin on the site. She says she has never felt more “complete” in her whole life, and hasn’t been able to stop staring at her son since the first moment she saw him.
"I looked into his precious eyes and felt an overwhelming, unconditional love," she wrote. "I felt a huge sense of accomplishment… I never felt so complete and empowered in my life."
Gisele also paid tribute to her mother Vania, who “devoted her life” to her six daughters. The model hopes she can be as good a mother as Vania was to her.
"I grew up witnessing my mother always trying her best at doing all she could for the six of us girls,” Gisele wrote. “My mom devoted her entire life to her family and did it with such grace.
“She is my hero. She is the reason why I believe that a woman is the core of a family. I can only hope to be for my kids what she will and always be for us – our rock."
