Jessica Simpson Scared To Show Her Face In Public
Jessica Simpson The 29-year-old singer’s weight was widely criticised when she appeared onstage in a pair of high-waisted jeans while performing at a chilli cook-out last year. Jessica was horrified by the public scrutiny of her appearance and says it made her feel like she never wanted to leave her house again.
"I was embarrassed. I didn't want to show my face," the blonde beauty told Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show. "I was touring with the Rascal Flatts at the time and had to get on stage every day and kind of just face it and hope to God I wasn't wearing an unflattering outfit... Obviously, I didn't look like Daisy Duke."
Jessica says her family and then-boyfriend Tony Romo helped her through her devastating time, making her feel beautiful even when the whole world was poking fun at her appearance.
"Tony was so great and so supportive and never ever made me feel like I wasn't sexy," she said. "I was embarrassed by what the world was saying, but I still had my friends and loved ones and family who appreciated me."
Jessica also spoke about another ex-lover John Mayer, who recently compared sex with her to “sexual napalm”. Jessica reiterated that she is “disappointed” with Mayer, but hasn’t let his betrayal affect her trusting nature.
"I'm not as guarded as you would think. I should probably be more guarded. I trust a lot of people, actually,” she said. “I’m still disappointed in him. That's truly how I felt and still feel.
“Somebody that you have cared about for a long time, you just hope they can keep the intimate things intimate."
