Amy Winehouse Planning To Re-Marry Blake In Las Vegas

By MusicRooms on 10/03/2010
Amy Winehouse is planning to re-marry Blake Fielder-Civil in Las Vegas.

The couple wed in a surprise ceremony in Miami in 2007, but Blake was arrested in November of the same year for grievous bodily harm following an attack on a pub landlord. He was eventually sentenced to 27 months in prison for the incident and for trial fixing.

Last year, Amy and Blake divorced on the grounds of her infidelity. When Blake was released from jail he was ordered to rehab in Sheffield, and while there he and Amy got back in touch. They rekindled their romance, and are convinced their relationship will work this time round.

“They will definitely be getting married and have agreed on Vegas,” a source told British newspaper The Sun. “Amy doesn’t want a traditional ceremony and wants it to be similar to their first wedding. She chose not to marry in Miami again because she thinks it could be a bad omen. She can’t stop talking to people about their future together.”

The singer is currently waiting for her visa application to be approved. As soon as it comes through, she will jet to the US to tie the knot.

Amy is currently in the process of buying a £2.5 million house in London’s Camden area. She and Blake lived there when they were married, and the 26-year-old views it as her spiritual home. Blake is still in Sheffield receiving treatment for drug addiction, but will join her in the new property as soon as his rehab stint ends.

“Amy and Blake have cleaned up their act and want a fresh start,” another source explained. “She picked the new pad because it is big enough to be a family home.”
