Sandra Bullock Sits With Her Hand Down Her Trousers
The Oscar-winning actress has been a regular on the red carpet in recent weeks, but actually loves nothing better than relaxing at home with her husband Jesse James. She admits she often used to imitate him when he found flop into a chair and put his hand down the front of his jeans, but now finds herself striking the pose of her own accord.
“If you do it, it feels kind of good, I don’t know why it’s necessary – it’s comforting, like a little friend,” she laughed.
Sandra received the best actress Academy Award at Sunday’s ceremony, for her portrayal of Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side, the true story of a mother who took in a disadvantaged youngster. It was the first film with a solo female lead to make over $200 million at the box office, and Sandra admits she was initially unsure it would do well as it was released at the same time as Twilight movie New Moon.
“When I found that out I went, ‘Whaaat?’ I didn’t want to question anyone’s intelligence who was in the marketing department, but I did. I don’t know how this stuff works,” she told US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. “We were just like, let’s make $15 million in that weekend, if we do that we can hold on and be around for a while. But we made $35! I didn’t though – I mean someone did, but not me.”
