Sandra Bullock Named Worst Actress

Sandra Bullock was named Worst Actress at the Golden Raspberry Awards last night.

The Hollywood star is tipped to pick up a Best Actress Oscar tonight, but proudly attended the event to collect her dubious prize. The Golden Raspberry Awards, also known as the Razzies, are held the day before the Oscars each year and celebrate the worst films and stars in Hollywood.

Sandra won the accolade for her performance in All About Steve, in which she plays a woman who creates crosswords for a living and begins stalking a guy – played by Bradley Cooper - she meets during a brief date. As she accepted the trophy, she insisted the voters should watch the movie again and rethink their decision. Sandra arrived at the ceremony with a trailer filled with DVDs of the comedy and handed them out to the audience.

"Something tells me you all didn't watch the film because I wouldn't be here if you really, really watched it and understood what I was trying to say," she said as she received a standing ovation. "Everyone gets a copy and this is the deal I'm going to make. I will show up next year if you promise to watch the movie and really consider if it was truly the worst performance. If you're willing to watch, I'll come back next year and give back the Razzie."

Sandra and Bradley also won Worst Screen Couple for the movie.

Sandra, 45, is in the running to claim an Academy Award at the Kodak Theatre this evening for her performance in American football drama The Blind Side.

American musical trio the Jonas Brothers were jointly named Worst Actor despite playing themselves in Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen starring Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf was named Worst Picture, while Michael Bay was voted Worst Director for his work on the action movie sequel.

Paris Hilton failed to impress with her performances in The Hottie & The Nottie or Repo: The Genetic Opera and was named Worst Actress of the Decade. Eddie Murphy won Worst Actor the Decade.
